
Nine people letting off fireworks in a park in Worthing have attacked a teenage boy, leaving him with multiple wounds.
That's according to police, who said the 16-year-old victim suffered cuts and other injuries during the assault.
Officers were called around 10pm on Saturday, October 31, to a report of a 16-year-old boy being assaulted.
The attack happened between 9.30pm and 9.50pm in Selden Park, behind the Sainsbury's Local on the A2032 Littlehampton Road, west of Broadwater.
A member of the public intervened and the group ran off.
Now, a witness appeal has begun.
Anyone who saw what happened, or who may have any other information about the assault, is being asked to contact police online or by calling 101 quoting serial 1652 of 31/10.
