No Train Services Between Croydon And London Victoria This Weekend

Southern Rail services to Victoria will be suspended from this Saturday (April 30) up until and including Bank Holiday Monday.

Saturday and Monday:  No services will run between London Victoria and Balham.

Sunday:  No services will run between London Victoria and East Croydon / Streatham Hill.

Passengers who need to get to Clapham Junction or Balham will find a limited replacement bus service from East Croydon.

Closures are due to Network Rail updating 1980s track and signalling on lines to London Victoria.

Other upcoming closures are as follows:

2022

  • Saturday 21 to Sunday 22 May
  • Saturday 16 to Sunday 17 July
  • Sunday 25 December 2022 to Monday 2 January 2023

Further dates will be added as and when they are confirmed. Changes for some of the above dates may not yet be showing in journey planners or on our planned engineering works page. Please check again closer to your travel date.

Most trains will be diverted to London Bridge, and limited rail replacement bus services will run between East Croydon or Balham and Clapham Junction for local journeys. 

Ticket Acceptance:

  • Customers should use London Bus route 170 between London Victoria and Clapham Junction or South Western Railway services between London Waterloo and Clapham Junction.
  • Customers should use London Underground services between London Victoria and Clapham Junction / Balham and London Bus route 255, 170, 319 between Balham and Streatham Hill.

Gatwick Express:

No Gatwick Express services will run. Customers should use alternative Southern or Thameslink services between London Bridge and Gatwick Airport.

Planned and unplanned closures may affect alternative routes. Please check other operators’ websites for up-to-date information.
