A person has died after being hit by a train near Chichester this morning (Wednesday).
The British Transport Police said that emergency services were called to reports of a casualty on the tracks shortly after 7am.
Police are now working to identify the person and inform their family after the incident, which is not being treated as suspicious.
Lines have now reopened between Barnham and Havant after a closure to allow emergency services to deal with the incident.

Southern Railway says that despite lines reopening, trains between these stations may still be cancelled, delayed by up to 15 minutes or diverted to Bognor Regis as normal service resumes.
