A Bognor Tesco car park is completely flooded and a holiday park is under water in Sussex, following a weekend of heavy rain as 72 flood warnings are issued in the UK ahead of Storm Ciaran.

In Hastings, the Priory Meadows Shopping Centre had to be evacuated on Saturday (October 28) due to flooding. It's the third serious flood in a year.

Southern Water said the drainage system had been overwhelmed by a high tide and torrential rain.

Meanwhile South Terrace in Hastings, between Queens Road and Devonshire Road, remains closed as is Lullington Road, from Alfriston Road to Back Lane.

A yellow weather warning will stay in place for disruption across the South East.

UPDATE:

Photos received this morning show an electrical sub station, supplying 30,000 homes in Bognor, surrounded by flood water.
