A man has been taken to hospital after being rescued from the River Arun last night (Sunday, Sept 25).
There was a multi-agency response to the incident that happened at around 10pm. Police, fire crews from West Sussex, Littlehampton RNLI and the coastguard were at the scene as well as a police helicopter.
He was pulled from the water by the coastguard at around 11.20pm.
The man remains in hospital.
