Friends of Paul Lawrence, who was found dead at the scene of an incident in Littlehampton on Sunday, January 28, have taken part in a sponsored walk to raise funds for his family.
Paul, 51, was found in Gladonian Road at around 6am.
The same day, a 16-year-old boy from Littlehampton was arrested on suspicion of murder.
Police say he has since been released on bail with strict conditions, including a curfew, until March 14 as enquiries continue.
Following tributes paid to "a much-loved son, brother, father and grandfather," friends and colleagues from Storrington-based plumbing and heating company, Stocker & Sons LTD where Paul worked, organised a sponsored walk from Brighton Pier all the way to Littehampton Trades and Labour club (Paul’s local pub).
Colleague Jack Stocker, said:
"We are all shocked and saddened by this news as he was a brilliant man and a brilliant friend to us all, loved by many and this news came as a shock to everyone who knew him."
The over 20-mile walk took place on Saturday, February 10, with all monies raised going towards helping Paul’s family with funeral costs.
