Pilot Named After Fatal Crash-Landing On Tuesday (4 August)

Police have named the pilot who was killed when his light aircraft crashed near Heathfield on Tuesday.

He was 65 year-old Richard Warriner from Burwash.

Officers say his body was recovered from the plane's wreckage after it came down soon after 11am, in open ground off Herring Lane.

The Air Accidents Investigation Branch is examining the incident.
