The incident happened on Monday, May 17th in Linden Road between 4.30pm and 5.30pm.

An unidentified white male, believed to be in his teens, with light brown hair, wearing a red sports style jacket and jeans, was pushed and spat at by a group of teenagers wearing tracksuits and medical masks.

A second victim, a 29-year-old man, stepped in to check on the boy and was subsequently attacked by the group.

Police are not aware at this stage of any injuries sustained by either victim.

They're asking the boy who was first assaulted to get in touch so that officers can establish a complete picture of what happened.
