Police Appeal For Information After Youths Run Riot In Hastings

Police patrolling Hastings Old Town say they've received a number of reports of children kicking doors and throwing eggs at properties in the area of Hill Street, Croft Road and High Street.

The children are believed to be within the age range of 8 and 14.

Officers say they believe the same group are causing a nuisance in The Stade area and have entered St Mary Star of the Sea Church on a number of occasions throwing items around inside, including within the altar area.

A spokesperson on the Hastings Police Facebook page said:

"We are keen to identify these youths and would like to speak to them and their parents regarding their child’s behaviour. If anyone has any information on who these youths may be or has any CCTV footage of the individuals involved, please let us know.

"In the meantime, we will continue patrolling the area in an effort to deter this behaviour.

"You can report anti-social behaviour via 101 or online at https://orlo.uk/6ExwY

"Please remember to call 999 in an emergency or crime in progress."
