Police Appeal For Two Girls Approached By Man In Hassocks Park

Police are seeking two girls who were seen talking to a man suspected of behaving indecently at the Memorial Gardens skate park last month.

The man, who is described as white, about 30, slim, wearing a blue baseball cap, blue jumper and grey tracksuit bottoms, was seen talking to the girls, who are believed to be between nine and 11-years-old, around 1pm on Saturday, May 29th.

Witnesses say they did not see him touching the girls.

PC Natalie Baynes of the West Sussex Safeguarding Investigations Unit said;

"We would like to talk to these two girls to establish exactly what happened, and to anyone else who witnessed the incident.

"You can contact us either online or by calling 101, quoting serial 692 of 29/05."

Meanwhile, a man aged 30 has been arrested on suspicion of attempted sexual activity with a child, and after being interviewed was released on police bail with conditions until 26 June.
