Police were called to a 'suspected unexploded ordinance' near Chichester last night (Friday).
Chichester police tweeted to say there were called to the scene at Kingleyvale at around 9pm.
The Royal Navy came to dispose of it, according to officers.
We are being advised to leave any suspected ordinances where they are if we find any.
People can call 999 if they come across one.
More Radio has approached the police for a comment.
