Sussex Police have confirmed they are investigating 'safeguarding concerns' in relation to residents at a residential care home in Worthing. A number of ambulances were spotted outside the Kingswood Nursing Home in Heene Road yesterday morning (Sunday, 16). Police said enquiries are at an early stage, but they are working with West Sussex County Council Social Services, who are responsible for any issues relating to standards of accommodation and the care needs of residents. A spokesperson for the county council said: "We are aware of a safeguarding issue at a local care home and have been working closely with NHS partners to ensure the safety and well-being of residents. "We would like to make it clear this is not a coronavirus related incident."
