Police pursuit: Drugs worth more than £350,000 recovered in West Sussex

Three men are awaiting trial after a police operation in West Sussex recovered illegal drugs with a potential street value of more than £370,000. Police said 32-year-old Alexander Griffin of Queens Road in Brighton, Dean Mazirel, a 35-year-old roofer of Grafton Road in Worthing, and Oliver Mazirel, a 31-year-old landscape gardener of Rowlands Road in Worthing, have been charged with being concerned in the supply of a Class A drug. They have been remanded in custody to appear at Lewes Crown Court on September 5. Officers said the drugs were recovered during a investigation into the alleged supply across the south coast.  Prior to the arrests on Tuesday August 6, a silver Mercedes car was involved in a police pursuit along Brighton Road into Worthing and along Goring Road to Goring Bridge. Police are appealing for witnesses and any dash cam footage of the incident, which occurred at around 1.30pm.  Anyone who can help is asked to contact the police online or by calling 101, quoting serial 640 of 06/08.
