Police Release CCTV Following Horsham Robbery

Police have released CCTV footage of two young men they wish to speak to in connection with a robbery in Horsham town centre.

It happened at around 5.30pm on Friday, July 15.

Three young men were seen walking in West Street, after which they approached a 15-year-old boy who was sat with a friend outside the Lynd Cross public house and Wilkinson store.

They took the boy round the corner towards The Gym, and his bag was taken.

One of the three suspects was described as a slim white man, 6’2” and was seen carrying a knife.

Some members of the public realised what was happening and intervened, challenging the suspect and then bravely holding onto him in a nearby Waitrose store after a short pursuit.

The suspect was then arrested by police.

Now, police are seeking to identify the other two young men in connection with this incident.

One of the young men is described as black and 5’2”. The second young man is described as mixed race and 5’4”.

Officers have appealed for witnesses; anyone who recognises the two young men; or anyone who may have seen them in the town centre on July 15, to come forward.

Information can be reported to Sussex Police online or on 101 and quote serial 1144 of 15/07.
