Police release CCTV images of men after two women attacked in Brighton city centre

Police have released two CCTV images of men they want to speak to after two women were attacked on two separate occasions in Brighton during October. A local woman, 20, was approached by a man while walking east along the seafront side of Kings Road, by the i360, just before 1am on October 20. Officers said the man attempted to engage her in conversation, and then sexually assaulted her. She resisted the man's attempts and managed to walk away. On October 5, a woman, 18, who was sitting on a bench outside All Bar One, near the Pavilion, was approached by another man at around 6.25pm. Police said he engaged her in conversation, then grabbed her and kissed her on the lips. The woman pushed him off and ran away, and was left very shaken but not hurt, according to the force. "In addition, our officers continue to pay attention to the areas involved." Anyone with information is asked to contact 101 and quote Operation Downgate. Operation Downgate is the ongoing police investigation into five offences in which women were sexually assaulted in Brighton city centre.
