Police release e-fit after £5,000 stolen from elderly Bognor woman

Sussex Police are investigating a distraction burglary in which £5,000 was stolen from an elderly woman in Bognor. Two men reportedly called at the 74-year-old victim's home, telling her they were there to service her boiler. One of them kept her talking, asked her to show him the boiler, and went on to charge her £900 before leaving, according to officers. Police said the victim became suspicious and then noticed £5,000 cash missing along with her handbag. Officers have released an image of a man they are trying to trace in connection to the incident in Murina Avenue on July 22. PC Matt Ward said: "This burglary has left the victim shaken up and distressed. If anyone recognises the E-fit or has any information about the incident please contact us." Anyone who can help the investigation is asked to report it online or ring 101 quoting serial 1059 22/07.
