Police treating Cuckfield Cricket Club fire as deliberate

A fire which destroyed a wooden pavilion at Cuckfield Cricket Club last night (Thursday, 5) is being treated as suspicious, according to police. Firefighters from Haywards Heath and Burgess Hill were called to the blaze in South Street shortly before 9.40pm. A spokesperson for West Sussex Fire and Rescue Service told More Radio the structure was 'well alight' upon arrival, and that the pavilion was 'completely destroyed' by the fire.
