Protestors have gathered outside a Brighton factory supplying, what they say are 'components for Israeli war planes' in Home Farm Business Park.
It's the second time in a week that Brighton Against The Arms Trade has assembled at the factory, the first being on November 30, when the group took to its Facebook page and called on residents to join them in protest 'against Israeli arms being manufactured on our doorstep'.
They say L3Harris Release and Integration Solution Ltd (formerly EDO MBM) in Moulsecoomb is supplying bomb release mechanisms for the F-35A and F-16 warplanes being used by the Israel Air Force to bomb Gaza and kill thousands of civilians.
On its website the group alleges:
"The parts developed and manufactured in Brighton enable Israeli pilots to drop their bombs on the Palestinian people of Gaza, who have no way to escape the genocide being committed against them. L3Harris Brighton has been awarded contracts worth millions of dollars to equip these F-16 and F-35 Israeli war planes. Therefore, L3Harris Brighton are complicit in and are profiting from the genocide, ethnic cleansing and war crimes being committed right now by Israeli military forces in Gaza."
The factory has been contacted for comment.
