A 51-year-old man from Shoreham has been charged with causing a public nuisance in connection with persistent calls being made to a phone box in Littlehampton.

It follows a police investigation into what lay behind the public telephone, in Littlehampton's High Street, being rung many times.

Unemployed Mark Furnevel of Oyster Quay in Shoreham is expected to appear from custody before Brighton Magistrates Court on Saturday (August 15).
