Pussycat Dolls are first headline act announced for Brighton Pride 2020

Brighton Pride have today (Thursday, 13) announced that The Pussycat Dolls will headline on the Sunday (August, 2) at FABULOSO Pride in the Park. The chart-topping girl band are reuniting for a U.K. Tour, performing together for the first time in over a decade. It's the first headline act that's been announced by Brighton and Hove Pride, with Saturday's headliner rumoured to be announced tomorrow (February, 14). It follows their return to music last week, with their new single 'React'. Nicole Scherzinger, Ashley Roberts, Kimberly Wyatt, Jessica Sutta and Carmit Bachar will perform for over an hour on day two of the festival in Preston Park this year, which will also be the 30th anniversary of the celebration. The Dolls said: “We are honoured to headline Brighton Pride. "It’s such a massive and important event bringing everyone together for one big weekend of acceptance and love, which is what The Pussycat Dolls are all about. "We can’t wait to share our show with you all and have the biggest party ever!” Paul Kemp, Director of Brighton & Hove Pride, said: “For our 30th anniversary we are really excited that LGBTQ+ icons The Pussycat Dolls will be headlining the FABULOSO main stage on Sunday 2nd August with a UK Pride exclusive performance. "The Pussycat Dolls are the first of many artist announcements to come. "Watch this space for loads of great LGBTQ+ performers and allies over the coming weeks.” Brighton and Hove Pride said the event is a celebration of how far we have come but it is also an ongoing campaign for those marginalised communities at home and abroad who still suffer persecution on a daily basis. Fundraising events will ensure vital funds for the local LGBTQ+ and community projects.
