Residents of Hastings can once again recycling their Christmas trees for free, thanks to Hastings Borough Council.
From now until January 17, locals are invited to take their trees to Harmers Lane, Alexandra Park, between 8.30am and 4pm, where they will be turned into compostable material, which can be used in the local park.
Cllr Maya Evans, lead councillor for environment, said:
“We have offered this free recycling service to residents for several years. We turn the trees into healthy, compostable material that can be used in the park, and it helps keep our town tidy too.”
People are being asked to make sure all decorations are removed before trees are left.
