Renewed Appeal For Missing Worthing Mum

There's a renewed appeal for missing mother of two Georgina Gharsallah, 30, who disappeared from Worthing town centre on March 7, 2018.

Four years and four months after her disappearance, the family is again hoping to jog people's memories and 'bring Georgina's family some answers after all this time'.

More Radio was contacted by a member of the public who had been involved in searching for Georgina. With the permission of Georgina's mum, she has made a renewed appeal for the missing mother of two.

The last sighting of Georgina was on CCTV footage taken from Clifton Food and Wine shop in Clifton Road, Worthing.

She had asked the shopkeeper for advice on fixing her mobile phone, after which he had directed her to a repair shop.

She reportedly never made it to the shop or to Jobcentre Plus, where she said she was going to visit later that day, or to a meeting arranged with her father.

She had last used her phone at 3am earlier that morning and it had pinged the Worthing mast for the last time at 11.30am that day.

It never reconnected to a mast and her bank cards and accounts were never used again.

Georgina was born in Brighton in 1987 to her Libyan father, Gassem, and English mother, Andrea.

Gassem had been attending university in Brighton where he met Andrea. They had four children, later separating.

At the time of her disappearance, Georgina had had some personal issues, having become estranged from her partner and her ex partner, with whom she'd had two boys. She was living with her mother, seeing her recent partner and sometimes staying with friends in Brighton.

Very little was done to investigate her disappearance when it was first reported, due to the fact that she was not vulnerable and there was no evidence of violence.

Three weeks after her disappearance, Sussex Police stepped up the investigation as it was now deemed suspicious that no one had heard from her.

The fate of Georgina Gharsallah is still unknown.
