Rescheduled Brighton & Hove Albion Games Cause Boxing Day Travel Nightmare

A number of Brighton & Hove Albion's December matches have been rescheduled — causing upset amongst fans about how they'll travel to and from the game on Boxing Day.

The Seagulls will now take on Brentford at the Amex on December 26, kicking off at 8pm for broadcasting reasons. The match will be played live on television, by Sky Sports.

But the new date has disrupted travel plans for fans, who say public transport will be affected by the festive holiday.

Other fixtures to have been moved are:

West Ham United at the London Stadium. This will now take place on Wednesday December 1, with kick off 7.30pm.

Tottenham Hotspur at the Amex on Sunday December 12, with kick off 2pm.

The home match against Wolverhampton Wanderers on Wednesday December 15 will kick off at 7.30pm.

The Albion will take on Manchester United at Old Trafford on Saturday December 18, kicking off at 12.30pm.

Chelsea on Wednesday December 29 and this game will be live on Amazon Prime, kick off 7.30pm.

Another fan described the move as 'the most idiotic decision that Sky Sports have ever made':

"What's the attendance going to be for that? 12,212 I reckon (announced as 31,231)."  @wearebrighton on Twitter.
