Scooterists from Littlehampton set off on Saturday morning (Feb 25), headed for Brighton in a 'Ride for Ukraine'.
The ride, planned and organised by Stuart Manser, who runs The Vespa Club of Britain, Brighton branch, was inspired by one of the group's members, Ashley Roffe who has family in Ukraine.
It began with around 30 scooterists, including members of scooter group 2ndtonone, together with members from a Selsey club.
They met at the Shell Garage near Body Shop at 9am on Saturday, with the intention of raising awareness of the Russian invasion of Ukraine, which started on February 24th last year (2022).
Scooterist Roy Amos told More Radio that a woman with two young children had approached the riders in Littlehampton saying she was Ukrainian and thanking them all for their support.
The riders, many of whom were 60s Mods, were joined by others as the journey progressed east, culminating in around 100 scooterists arriving in Brighton for a coffee by the pier and finally riding around the city, flying Ukrainian flags and showing off their impressive vehicles.

The next outing for 2ndtonone will be the Easter Egg Run on April 9 going to Worthing and Chichester Hospitals with Easter egg donations for the children.
Last year a member's wife helped deliver 220 eggs to Worthing Hospital and 250 to Chichester Hospital.
