Riot Police Control Crowds At Brighton Station As Seagulls Meet Crystal Palace At The Amex

Photos and video by Eddie Mitchell

Riot Police were tasked with controlling crowds of football fans yesterday evening (March 15) as Brighton & Hove Albion met with Crystal Palace at the Amex Stadium.

Video shot outside Brighton Station shows football fans singing and chanting at police as they try to contain the crowds that had gathered on the road and streets surrounding the station.

Footage shows the police largely stationary yet poised to take action as young fans sang and threw plastic cups of beer in their direction. You can see footage on our Facebook page.

Police have so far not reported any arrests.

Brighton beat Crystal Palace 1-0.
