Seagulls welcome Watford for crunch relegation clash

The Albion return to action this evening when they face Watford in a vital Premier League clash at The Amex. The game, which can be seen live on TV, kicks off at 5.30pm. The Seagulls begin the day 15th in the table - four places higher than today's visitors - but with just three points separating the sides, the outcome of today's game could prove crucial come the end of the season. Graham Potter's reign as Brighton head coach began with an impressive 3-0 win against The Hornets on the opening day of the season, but since then the Albion have struggled to string a consistent run of results together and have yet to win in 2020. There is some good news though. Striker Glenn Murray and Dutch midfielder Davy Propper both signed new contracts this week, whilst Shane Duffy is available again after recovering from surgery to remove a blood clot in his leg. Fellow defender Dan Burn could also be set for a return after breaking his collar bone in the New Years Day draw with Chelsea, and new signing Tariq Lamptey could be in line for a debut after signing during the January transfer window. "We need to improve our points tally - and obviously we're focusing on that for the weekend" said Potter. "It's not going to give me any comfort looking at the league table and deciding who's in it (the relegation fight) and who's not, we just have to focus on ourselves. I think Arsenal have won the same number of games as us, so it just shows you that wins in the Premier League are hard to come by for everybody."
