Second man arrested after three men struck by car during brawl on Brighton seafront

Police have arrested a second man in connection with three men being struck by a vehicle in Marine Parade, Brighton, in the early hours of Sunday (December, 1). Officers said they were called to reports of a large group of people fighting at around 5.20am. A 20-year-old man is in a critical condition, while an 18-year-old man and a 22-year-old man are both in a serious condition, according to the force. A 33-year-old man was detained this morning (December, 2) on suspicion of attempted murder. A 32-year-old man was arrested on Sunday on suspicion of causing grievous bodily harm. Officers said both are in custody at this time. The incident is not being treated as terror-related, according to police. Anyone with information is asked to contact 101 quoting Operation Danebridge.
