A woman in her late 50s, who was a passenger in a car in Angmering, was taken to hospital with serious head injuries yesterday (December 21) after a collision involving two vehicles.
Police have arrested the driver of the other car on suspicion of a string of offences including drug driving.
It's after a Peugeot 206 and an Audi A4 collided on the westbound A259 Roundstone-By-Pass between the B2225 and Station Road in Angmering at 2.25pm on Monday.
A 58-year-old woman passenger in the Audi needed treatment at Worthing Hospital for serious injuries to her head.
The 22-year-old driver of the Audi and another passenger, a 22-year-old woman, sustained minor injuries.
Police arrested a 43-year-old man, driving the Peugeot, on suspicion of several offences including:
- drug driving,
- possession of cocaine,
- taking the vehicle without consent,
- driving without a licence,
- and having no insurance.
After being interviewed he was released under investigation.
