Sexual Attack In Worthing: Police Appeal

E-fit supplied by Sussex Police

In connection with a sexual assault in Worthing town centre, Sussex Police would like to speak to the man whose e-fit is shown above.

Officers say soon after midnight on Monday night (before 1am on Tuesday July 28), a man reportedly followed a woman along Warwick Street, South Street, Marine Parade, Montague Place, Montague Street and back into South Street.

The victim has reported to officers two sexual assaults during that time.

They were said to have taken place in Warwick Street and Montague Street.

Officers investigating the matter are keen to speak to anyone who witnessed either assault, or who saw any suspicious behaviour in the area at the time.

They are particularly keen to speak to the man whose e-fit, and a CCTV image, is shown above, as they believe he can help with their enquiries.

It is important to note that the e-fit is not a photograph of a person, but is a reconstruction based upon witness recollections.

He is described as black, in his 30s, between 5' 2" and 5' 6" tall, and with short, black, dreadlock style hair that's approximately one inch long.

He was wearing white shoes, black jeans and a black hooded jumper with a large white logo on the front. He had no facial hair.

Anyone who recognises him, or who has any other information relating to the incident, is asked to contact police online or by calling 101 quoting serial 59 of 28/07.

Alternatively, you can contact the independent charity Crimestoppers anonymously on 0800 555 111.
