Shoreham's RNLI team have rescued four people and saved a man's life during three call outs over three days.
Officials said the team were first called to a report of a man in distress in the water at Hove on Thursday (23), at around 6.20pm.
The crew pulled him from the water and took him ashore into the care of ambulance paramedics, Sussex Police and the Shoreham Coastguard team.
On Saturday (25), another lifeboat responded to a broken down 13m boat which had suffered an engine failure and was drifting off Worthing in windy conditions.
Teams located the vessel with two people on board at around 7.25am.
It was towed back to Brighton Marina as the low tidal conditions prevented it from being taken to Shoreham Harbour.
On the same day, at around 3.35pm, another team responded to a broken down Zapcat vessel that was drifting just east of Shoreham Harbour.
Officials said the vessel, with two people on board, had capsized but self righted and suffered an engine failure.
It was towed to the harbour, up the river to Emerald Quay.
Shoreham Lifeboat Operations Manager Peter Huxtable said:
“It has been a busy few days for our lifeboat crews who have responded to a variety of calls in different weather conditions and have saved the life of the man in the water and rescued four other people.”
