A woman's due in court in connection with an incident in Shoreham where the driver of car with flat tyres reportedly spat at police.
It was at 11.56pm on Friday night (July 2) that a Renault Megane came to the attention of patrolling officers in Shoreham.
It was spotted being driven with both front tyres blown-out, on the A270 Old Shoreham Road.
Officers who asked the driver to stop reported on social media that the vehicle was being driven on its rims — and then the driver spat at them.
Tracey Coles, 46, unemployed, of Kingsland Close, Shoreham-by-Sea is charged with driving a motor vehicle with her alcohol level above the legal limit, and with assault by beating of an emergency worker.
She has been bailed to appear at Brighton Magistrates' Court on August 5.
