Six teenagers have been summoned to court in connection with a fight in Hailsham town centre.
Police were made aware of an altercation in High Street around 8.40pm on Thursday 30 July. Officers attended the scene but the group had dispersed.
Enquiries led police to make a series of arrests in connection with the incident, and six boys have now been summonsed.
The boys – two aged 13, one aged 14, two aged 15 and one aged 17 – have been summonsed for offences including assault by beating, possession of an offensive weapon in a public place, and using threatening / abusive / insulting words / behaviour with intent to cause fear of / provoke unlawful violence.
They are all due to appear before Hastings Youth Court on January 25, 2021.
