Some residents with no water supply in Whitehawk and Roedean due to burst pipe

Southern Water have warned customers in the BN2 area that they may experience low water pressure, or no water at all, due to a burst pipe. Engineers dug down to locate the burst pipe this morning (December, 13) and began cutting out the damaged section to replace it. Originally there were plans to install an overland bypass pipe, but staff argued it won't work. The water company has offered free bottled water for collection at the Whitehawk Football Club car park in The Avenue. Deliveries have also been offered to vulnerable customers on Southern Water's priority services register. The company was unable to say how long the repair will take.

3/3 We're delivering bottled water to all affected customers on our priority services register, so if you think you should be registered, or you know someone vulnerable, please call 0800 027 0800. Thanks again for your patience & understanding.
