Managers at the South Downs National Park, which stretches across Sussex, have appealed for a moment of silent listening today (May 2) to mark International Dawn Chorus Day.
This morning, they've told everyone hoping to get onto Sussex's hills to listen for the skylark.
Information released early today called the bird the "South Downs' loudest songster".
The national park, designated in 2010, covers 628 square miles and stretches across both West Sussex and East Sussex from its westernmost point in Hampshire, to its eastern conclusion where it meets the English Channel at Beachy Head and the Seven Sisters.
Good morning! Did you know it's #InternationalDawnChorusDay?
