Police have arrested a teenager who was wanted in connection with a stabbing in Southwater last month.

Officers said Tactical Enforcement Officers and local police arrested the 17-year-old on Monday night (May 10).

He was detained on suspicion of committing grievous bodily harm, and of possession with intent to supply Class A drugs.

The boy has been released on conditional bail until June 7.

On the evening of Sunday April 4, officers were called to an incident in Lintot Square on the evening of Sunday 4 April, which led to a 25-year-old local man receiving stab wounds to his back and leg.

The victim was taken to hospital for treatment for a punctured lung and dislocated shoulder, and is now recovering at home.

Police added last night that they are not seeking anyone else in connection with this incident.
