A father from Crowborough is due to appear in court today (Wednesday, 4), charged with the murder of his eight-week-old baby daughter. Michael Roe, 32, was arrested at his home in Alderbrook Close yesterday evening (Tuesday, 3), and later charged with the murder of a child under one year old, wounding or inflicting grievous bodily harm without intent, and causing or allowing the death of a child. Police said the charges follow an incident at the address in September last year, when the victim, baby Holly Roe, was reported to be having breathing difficulties. Paramedics took her to Pembury Hospital, where she was pronounced dead. Mr Roe is due to appear at Brighton Magistrates' Court later. Baby Holly's mother, Tiffany Tate, 21, of the same address, has also been summoned to face a charge of causing or allowing the death of a child. She is due to appear at Brighton Magistrates' Court on September 12.
