Sussex health and care leaders are urging everyone eligible to get their COVID-19 Booster ahead of the end of the Spring vaccination program on June 30.

More than 150,200 people in Sussex have now had their Spring Booster thanks to vaccination teams across communities.

However, over 96,700 of those deemed eligible in Sussex have not yet received it, which is around 40% of eligible people.

The offer of a COVID-19 Spring Booster vaccination ends on June 30 for most people. Those who are eligible to receive them include people who are aged 75 years old or over, live in a care home for older adults and those aged 5 years old or over and have a weakened immune system.

Across Sussex there are still appointments available every week for COVID-19 at vaccination services across our communities.

People can book an appointment on the National Booking Service at – or by calling 119 – or by following an invitation from a local team, ahead the Spring Booster vaccination program ending on 30 June. Eligible adults can also walk in to one of our mobile vaccination sessions.

A spokesperson for the Sussex COVID-19 vaccination programme said:

“Our teams have been working extremely hard since to protect those most susceptible to serious illness from COVID-19 with the Spring Booster.

“We know that it is vital that those who are due their booster come forward as soon as possible to ensure they have that protection for themselves and their loved ones.

“Latest figures show that there are tens of thousands of people across our communities who should have an Spring Booster vaccine and haven’t yet come forward. If you are eligible, we strongly urge you to join the millions who have already had theirs”.
