Sussex residents are being encouraged to release their 'inner elves' this festive season.
An event on Friday December 2 hopes to raise vital funds for Alzheimer’s Society by getting supporters to host their own Elf Day.
Participants do not need to buy anything new — that stripy jumper at the back of the wardrobe will do fine.
But if you’re stuck for costume ideas and would like to spend your money where it will make a difference, Alzheimer's Society's online shop has plenty of elfish garments and gifts available to purchase.
The charity’s Carols at Christmas celebration in central London, is also a perfect way to get into the festive spirit.
Sing your heart out alongside the charity's gospel choir, Britain’s Got Talent semi-finalists Shalom Chorale, Croydon’s Singing for the Brian Choir and the professional singers of St Marylebone Parish Church.
You can sign up for a free fundraising pack online, and make sure to use the hashtag #elfday for your ‘elfies’!
