A burglar has been jailed for two years after his distinctive tattoos gave away his identity on CCTV. Police said Christopher Redmond, 29, of Upper Bognor Road, Bognor, stole £10,000 worth of stock from a store in Chichester. Officers were called to 'Dartagnan', in North Street, at around 9am on October 12, after staff discovered the premises had been broken into and a quantity of clothes missing. All that could be seen in the security footage was a person's arm reaching through a smashed window. Redmond's hand tattoos were noticeable in the footage, resulting in his subsequent arrest and charge of burglary. Officers said he was also ordered to pay a £149 victim surcharge when he was sentenced at Lewes Crown Court on February 19.
