Taxi driver left with facial injuries after being attacked in Crawley

A taxi driver has been left with facial injuries after he was punched in the face during a journey in Crawley. Police said the victim picked up two women and a man in Basildon Way, Bewbush, just after 9pm on April 27, and started to head towards the town centre. According to officers, the driver was then attacked in the Byrd Road area, where the three passengers exited the vehicle. Both women were described as being between 18 and 22-years old, white, around 5’ 6” tall, of slim build and with blonde hair. One of the women was wearing a black jacket, white t-shirt and black trousers. The man was described as mixed race, aged between 18 and 21, 5’ 5”, of average build and with black short hair. Anyone with information is asked to report online, or call 101 quoting 1379 27/04.
