Teenager denies sexually assaulting two women in Brighton city centre

A teenage boy has appeared in court to deny sexually assaulting two women in Brighton city centre. The 17-year-old appeared at Brighton Youth Court yesterday (Friday, 6), charged with sexually assaulting a woman in North Street on October 5 and a woman in Seymour Street the following day. Police said he entered a not guilty plea and was committed for trial, in custody, with a preliminary hearing at Lewes Crown Court on January 3. Officers said enquiries into a number of other sexual assaults in the city are continuing, but are not being linked to the allegations against the suspect. Other incidents took place in Ditchling Road on July 24, East Street on October 11 and in Kings Road on October 20.
