Theft of £33,000 Rolex watch from Horsham jewellers

Police are looking for a man in connection with the theft of a £33,000 watch from a jewellers in Horsham. Officers said they were called to the T H Bakers jewellers in West Street last Friday (January, 3) after an unknown male ran out with the watch, a GMT Rolex. According to the force, the man had pretended he wanted to see the watch and spoke about payments, before running out of the store with it in his hand. Police now want to talk to the man in the photo in connection with the incident. The suspect was described as white, in his mid-30s and was wearing a navy flat cap, blue puffer jacket with checkered shirt underneath, blue chinos and brown shoes. Police said the watch is quite distinctive and has the serial number 101Z916 on the rear plate. The man left the box and original paperwork behind, so the watch is now not as valuable as it would have been as a complete set, according to police. Anyone with information is asked to call 101, quoting reference number 845 of 03/01.   More Radio is continuously dedicated to providing a quality news service on-air and online, reporting local stories that matter across Sussex.
