Three Crews Tackle Flames At Worthing Flat

Firefighters have been tackling a blaze at a flat in Worthing this afternoon (Wednesday).

Officials said they were at the scene of in Stoke Abbot Road at around midday.

Breathing apparatus was used to bring the fire under control, using one high pressure hose reel and one covering jet.

Nearby residents were asked to keep doors and windows closed.

Crews remained at the scene damping down at 12.46pm.

Steady progress is being made, crews remain at the scene turning over and damping down.
