Three Sussex police officers have been charged with dangerous driving after a collision in Chilgrove, West Sussex, last July (2020).
Police said three motorcyclists, all off-duty police officers, were travelling south towards Chichester, at around 1.20pm on July 11.
Two of the riders suffered multiple injuries after colliding with a red Ford Fiesta.
An 80-year-old man from Chichester, who was driving the Fiesta, and his female passenger sustained minor injuries.
According to officers, PC James Latter, 30, based at Lewes; PC Ahmet Yapicioz, 53, based at Gatwick and PC Alan Harris, 30, based at Lewes were summonsed to court to face the charge of dangerous driving.
Yapicioz and Harris were also summonsed with driving at a speed exceeding 60 miles an hour.
The three will appear at Worthing Magistrates’ court on Tuesday (February 9).
