Three-Year-Old Burgess Hill Girl Saves Mother's Life Following Bonfire Asthma Attack

A three-year-old girl from Burgess Hill has saved her mum's life after she suffered a serious asthma attack brought on by a neighbour's bonfire.

Kayleigh Robus was barely able to breathe and couldn't speak when her daughter Imogen handed her a phone and told her to call "the number".

After dialling 999, Kayleigh handed the phone back to her daughter who told the emergency services call handler, "Mummy needs and ambulance!"

Unable to remember her address, Imogen described her house, saying it had a grey door with a bus stop outside and a shop nearby.

Using a phone trace, the call handler was able to direct an ambulance to their residence.

Imogen even managed to open the front door to allow paramedics to enter and help her mother.

Kayleigh describes how Imogen told her, "Mummy it's gonna be ok now, they're here to help you."

She was taken to the Princess Royal Hospital In Haywards Heath where she spent five days recovering from the attack.
