Forensics officers have identified a man who stole a motorbike from outside a casino in Eastbourne, later crashing and abandoning it behind a shop.
The motorbike was taken at around 4.20am Friday, February 4 from the rear of the Admiral Casino in Terminus Road.
It was found by a member of the public, crashed and abandoned at the rear of a shop leaving a trail of blood.
Forensics results identified Oscar Powell, 27, of Terminus Road, Eastbourne as the suspect.
A search of his address found an electric scooter identical to the one the suspect was seen using on CCTV before stealing the motorcycle.
Detectives from the Community Investigation Team (C.I.T) at Hastings charged him with the theft of a motor vehicle and driving without insurance.
He's being held in court custody as he is serving a suspended sentence for attempted robbery.
He is due to appear at a court yet to be determined on Thursday, April 14.
