All railway lines are blocked between Eastbourne and Lewes this morning (Friday) due to severe flooding.
The line has been made unsafe as water has cascaded on to it and made contact with the electrified third rail.
According to Southern Railway, Network Rail engineers have sourced a pump, which it's hoped will help clear the issue.

The operator said rail replacement buses are in place, with tickets being accepted on Brighton and Hove bus services between Eastbourne and Brighton, and South Eastern Railway services between Hastings and London.
Lines are expected to be closed until at least 11am.
