Tributes Paid After Death Of 'Committed' SECAmb Non-Executive Director

South East Coast Ambulance Service NHS Foundation Trust (SECAmb) have today (Tuesday) paid tribute following the death of one of its Non-Exectutive Directors, Tricia McGregor.

The Trust said Tricia, from Epsom, Surrey, served a three-year term with SECAmb which began in January 2018.

She passed away following a short but serious illness.

In a statement, the Trust said:

"A speech and language therapist and visiting professor in the School of Health Sciences at the University of Surrey, Tricia served on a number of SECAmb’s Board Committees, including chairing the Quality & Patient Safety Committee from October 2018 onwards.

"She joined SECAmb with more than 30 years’ experience in the healthcare, social enterprise, and employee-owned sectors. She was awarded an MBE in 2011 for services to social enterprise, while serving as Managing Director for CSH Surrey (formerly Central Surrey Health)."

SECAmb Chair, David Astley, said:

"Our thoughts are with Tricia’s family and friends at this difficult time.

"Tricia was truly committed to helping the Trust to provide the very best services possible to our patients and in supporting our staff and volunteers and remained completely focussed on this despite her illness.

"I know she will be very much missed by her fellow Directors, colleagues and volunteers throughout the Trust.”
