Trio of teenagers arrested in connection with 'violent' attack at Worthing park

Police have arrested three young teenagers in connection with a 'violent' attack at a Worthing park, which left two men with concussion and broken ribs. The two victims, aged 29 and 23, along with a 19-year-old woman and a 16-year-old boy, were approached by several people while walking through Victoria Park around 10pm on Monday (May, 11). Police said the younger of the two men had a cigarette snatched from him and all four were attacked. Both men had to be taken to hospital to be treated for concussion and broken ribs. DC Katie Clack said: "We arrested two girls aged 15 and 14, and a boy aged 15, on suspicion of robbery and after being interviewed they have been released under investigation. "This was an unpleasant and violent attack and our enquiries are continuing." Anyone with information is asked to call 101, quoting reference number 1349 of 11/05.
