Police have arrested two people in connection with a spate of criminal damage to vehicles and buildings in Crawley and Horsham yesterday evening (Wednesday, 16). Officers carried out a search of the towns, assisted by the police helicopter, after deliberate damage was found, which police said were consistent with the firing of ball bearings. At least two people have also been treated for minor injuries, again believed to be from ball bearings, according to police. Officers said there have been a total of around 15 reports of damage to date, which are not believed to be targeted attacks. Two men from Crawley, aged 39 and 19, remain in custody after being arrested on suspicion of criminal damage. Anyone with information is asked to call 101, quoting reference number 1372.
